"Every collegeย should have a 0% attendance policy."

-ย Adit Sreenivasan, one of the youngestย LinkedInย Top Voices
Here's why:
You learn more OUTSIDE the classroom, not inside.
Most of the good things that have happened to me, are because I exploredย my interests OUTSIDE of classes.
Be it winning goodies from WorldQuant,ย becoming a LinkedIn Top Voice, or even becoming a venture capital scout with 2am VC.ย
Here's why being out of the classroom can work in your favor:ย
โข If you don't have the burden of attending classes, your mind is free to explore random domains and fields of interest.ย
โข Knowing that you don't have to meet a minimum criteria for attendance gives you the time and mental space to think creatively about other things.ย
โข While classes help you build discipline and consistency, they're probably not the best place to spend your 20s.ย
โข In fact, the 0% attendance policy might be one of the reasons behind the unicorns, creators and other success stories fromย Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
In the years I've been at BITS, I've explored quant finance, management consulting, venture capital, ghostwriting and so much more.
I must admit, even though there's 0% minimum attendance, bunking classes is a big gamble. If you don't do something useful in that time, it can go quite dark from there.
But in my case, it paid off.ย
My aim with this post is not to offend or criticize, but to simply explain why this is a boon for me, and could be a boon for millions of students worldwide.ย
It will pay off.
